Overview

Originally released as Zoom 909 in Japan, this arcade game is a forward-scrolling, pseudo-3D, third-person rail shooter, released by Sega in 1982. Its gameplay is a precursor to Sega's 1983 laserdisc arcade game Astron Belt and 1985 arcade hit Space Harrier.

The game released in both upright and cockpit cabinet versions. It released Japanand North America in 1982, and in Europe in 1983. The July 1983 issue of British magazine Computer & Video Games noted that the setting resembles the Death Star in Star Wars.
