Cosmic Fantasy is a Japanese only RPG released on the PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16. Published in 1990 and developed by Telenet Japan Co., Ltd under the full name of Cosmic Fantasy: Bōken Shōnen Yū.
Players took control of Yuu, a young orphan who is part of the CSC or Cosmic Security Company. Their job is to protect planets who have yet to develop modern technology from outside forces.
The game was unique as it was one of the first games to put an emphasis on their high quality anime cut scenes and voice acting. Its story would be told through these anime cut scenes with the main bulk of the gameplay taking the form of a typical turn based JRPG.
Along his adventure Yuu is joined by Monmo, his talking motorcycle. He then meets Saya and a talking cat named Nyan.
