Falcom Classics (ファルコム クラシックコレクション) is a collection of three re-imaginings of games originally published by Nihon Falcom and was released in Japan for the Sega Saturn on November 6, 1997. The anthology contains remakes of Dragon Slayer, Xanadu, and the original Ys along with various extras including an audio drama, interviews with voice actors, and even a video tour of Falcom Shop (a Falcom themed merchandise store).
JVC published Falcom Classics but a specific developer is not credited for creating the remakes themselves. Falcom's JDK Sound Team composed the music for the different games but the only other Falcom staff listed in the credits are scenario writer Hisayoshi Takeiri, who worked on the remakes of Dragon Slayer and Ys, and Yoshinobu Nakahara, a sales and marketing representative. Some of the other credits seem to be attributed to people that worked at Exe-Create. This includes the company's CEO, Shinichi Yamamoto, and one of its directors, Masao Niga. This makes sense since the developer was credited for making Falcom Classics II in 1998 and Exe-Create also listed on their old website that they worked on an unnamed Saturn project in November 1997.
